One company
Orlovs Consulting is the company’s main name, for its consulting work. Local Assistant is the same company, under the name it uses for private AI.
The limits
- Local in the name means on your own premises, never nearby. The Azure option is not local in that sense: Microsoft hosts it.
- What Local Assistant offers is a plain answer on where client data sits and who holds it. It is no security guarantee, and your duties to clients stay with your firm.
- Running a system on your own premises is a choice. The ICAEW and PCRT texts read in this article do not require it. Other bodies have their own rules. A paid business tool may suit you better, and the premises option may well cost more.
- Any model’s work needs checking, and a smaller model does less than the best available.
